Joel 2:1-32 and Acts 2:13-21      look for the placement of the word "before"  in both passages, Joel ch 2 & acts Ch 2.  Go verse by verse through Joel ch 2 - what process of judgment is happening for the virgins, and the people with talents-those parable/prophecies are linked, Read  ( talents virgins = 4 hits ) notice {16MR 267.1 - 273.5}.   The loud cry burns out the last call and scorches the false hopes of the unrepentant, it is the fragrance of approaching death to them because of their continued rebellion, it is life to the converts - that is what Joel's army does.

The physical signs of blood, fire, vapour, smoke, stars falling, etc - do not create different prophecies but rather underscore  the original apocalyptic ones stated in Daniel & Revelation & Ezekiel & Joel  and other places in Scripture, that SDA's already preach in a smaller than then way. That the signs get re-shown in the way Scripture describes before the close of human probation and 2nd Coming, is talked about even by Matthew 24:28-30.   They have occurred once, Scripture is fulfilled - should they reoccur - fine, but get ready on God's stated terms smoke, fire, vapour does not atone for your sins or give you the character God expects you to obtain through His power and mercy on His terms.

Could you suppose that people giving the Loud Cry will understand Scripture sufficiently to explain the opportunities in history but also the lost opportunities and why God allowed delays. It will be shown from scripture that God had earlier dates in mind to come - like soon after 1844 AD, but that God has a "ready or not" fixed date He will not delay past.   Knowing that date is not necessary, knowing prophecy and being on the side Christ's parables/prophecies commend - IS.

As far as the SDA Denomination, some of her members fit the conditions defining the synagogue of Satan - not Babylon,  Babylon has never been nor ever be the remnant by profession and definition .

Revelation 2:9  I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

Revelation 3:9  Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.


Some of those non spiritual hebrews are SDA, not all Babylonians remain Babylonian, they obey God's call and come out.

Good points Ed. As you imply, the messages the messages to the church of Rev. 1 and 2 are not only for specific time periods, but "To he that hath an ear..."
