A Target for Error?

There are many people who seem to enjoy being titillated, frightened or adrenlized. (if not why is TV so appealing?) I believe that this kind of person becomes an easy target for error.
Can error be 'proved'? The answer must be yes otherwise what about Matt. 24;24 "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." Though maybe not the elect then almost the very elect.
It may be safe to say that in the short term error is potentially stronger than truth. I say that because mix truth with error and and it makes error more credible. Of course when we mix error with truth and it isn't true anymore.

People are targets for error if they don't study their Bibles carefully. God's Word contains no errors when studied carefully and prayerfully
One can only recognize the counterfeit if he knows what the genuine truth is.

TV is a trap. Satan gets right into your mind by hypnotizing flashes of light and music and within minutes you become a mind open to suggestion. See Little Light Ministries.

It's always been puzzling to me that many of those who would never have been caught dead in a movie theater, have very little discretion when it comes to the boob tube. With the exception of a bit of news and the weather forecast, I have not watched anything on network TV in many years, but my sense is that there is virtually nothing left there that a Christian can watch in good conscience.

Beware of being over confident thinking that we can't be fooled.
The well known quote "A sucker is born every minute" was made by P.T. Barnum of the Barnum and Bailey Circus. He once boasted that no one could ever fool him. He even offered $10,000 to anyone who could. He was always on the lookout for unusual acts, or people or animals to use in the circus. One day he got a letter from a man in Maine saying that he had a cherry colored cat, and offered it to Mr. Barnum. Barnum was very interested. The man sent it to him and Barnum opened the box and found a perfectly normal black cat. There was a note with the cat that said "In Maine, cherries are black. There is a sucker born every minute." It is said that Barnum had a good laugh and sent the man $10,000.
BTW Raven, is that true about Maine cherries?

I have a cherry tree in my yard which produces red cherries. The waxwings and squirrels generally get most of them.
I'm not sure if black cherries will grow here, but black cherries aren't really black anyway, just very dark red. Dried cherries are black, though, just like dried green grapes are black.
