Book Ends
Sadly in many if not most church business meetings - boards, committees etc.- from the top of our organization to the bottom, Jesus is little more than the book ends to what goes on. There is an opening prayer and a closing prayer. Often time there... [Read More]

Is There Hope for Small Churches?
Some time ago I was talking with a colleague of mine. He remarked that it seems that many little churches are dying out. In some places they have more or less been written off and in their place there is the emphasis on new "church plants."

Can Anyone Tell Me
We are hearing more and more about how  shall we win those who have been classified as 'post moderns'. It has been determined that if we are going to bring the gospel to them it will have to be in new and creative ways. I have not learned all of the ... [Read More]

An Invitation
I don't know if our readers and contributors on the Forum are aware that Revival Sermons.org has a mailing list. One list is in English and there is another in Spanish. There are about 1000 who have signed up thus far. I do not send a message very of... [Read More]

Worse Than We Could Have Imagined
To some extent we might have romanticized last day events without taking into account that before it is over there will be a time of trouble greater than any before. As we have read, the church will appear about to fall. It is one thing to be on the... [Read More]

Pastor Richard O'Ffill is an author, international revivalist and seminar speaker. He has served in Southern Asia, and Latin America, as well as North America. Pastor O'Ffill believes that a Holy God, through the Holy Spirit, is developing a holy people for the soon return of Jesus Christ. For his fundamental beliefs click here.

Because one of the Holy Spirit's thrusts in the last days is to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the children to the fathers, the direction of his ministry has become basic. Burning within him is a desire to see families restored by God's grace. This will be accomplished as God's people learn and exercise the fruit of the Spirit on a daily basis in their homes. As a husband, father and grandfather, Pastor O'Ffill knows from experience that the Christian life must be lived at home.  Because the church is an extension of the home, revival must start in the home before the church experiences it.

Pastor O'Ffill is currently taking speaking appointments for 2009 .

You may watch some of Pastor O'Ffill's sermons online or purchase entire sermon video series which are produced by Hope Media Ministry . Three series are available: Transforming Prayer, Christ Our Blessed Hope and Personal Devotions.

Something to Remember: Jesus has promised to never leave us or forsake us.

From the Featured Sermon -To Obey or Not to Obey -- That is the Question

"Jesus came to this planet to do what man could not do, and that was perfectly obey the will of God. Did He do this so that we wouldn't need to? Some speak as if the servant were greater than his Master aand the disciple above his Lord. Did the Lord Jesus honor the law so that His people could set it aside? Did He keep it, not that we might keep it, but that we might not keep it, but something else in its place? Give the Lord a break!

"The plain truth is -- we must either keep the law or break it. What do those who accuse those who would be obedient mean to say? Are they suggesting that we can break the law of God at will and go on sinning that grace may abound?

"Some would say that the Christian is not under the rule of law but the rule of love. Think with me now. Love is not a rule, but a motive. Love does not tell me what to do; it tells me how to do it. Love constrains me to do the will of the Beloved One, but to know what His will is I must go elsewhere. The law of our God, friend, is His will for our lives. And if the law, which is an expression of His will, was withdrawn, love would be in the dark; it would not know what to do. "

Lord,Save My Church - Tackling the tough issuesLord Save My Church (Tackling the tough issues) - This is one of the eight books by Pastor O'Ffill which can be purchased at Adventist Book Centers everywhere.

We expected the devil and his minions to come into the church like herd of elephants. Instead, they come in like a swarm of termites - unnoticed. All may appear normal, but the fact is, the load-bearing truths that hold up our message are under attack. Satan's been quietly gnawing away at the framework of our church for 170 years. We didn't hear a thing; we didn't see the signs of his destructive power until the damage had been done.

There is no doubt that we are in a time of change. The home, the church, and the society of tomorrow definitely will definitely not be what we have known before. The question we must ask is what will they be now?

With candor, Richard W. O'Ffill offers a wide variety of talking points for biblical truth and Christian living. In a media-saturated world where it is easier to hear more about the life of Britney Spears than the life of Jesus Christ, we must confront our assumptions and prejudices in the light of the gospel. In the ninety-some brief assertions and defenses in this book you will find much to ponder. You will agree with many. Pay special attention to those you don't. The Holy Spirit may be trying to tell you something.

You may read an excerpt from the section God's People and Biblical Doctrine.
