Full Text Great Controversy Being Distributed in the North American Division
< http://www.remnantpublications.com/default/index.php/books/great-controversy-project/great-controversy-missionary-edition.html#sthash.Ofp3RQdX.dpuf >
From Remnant Publications Web Site:
With unparalleled changes taking place all around us, we’re calling upon you to join us in another bold initiative. The urgency of this new initiative is best stated below:
"The Great Controversy should be very widely circulated. It contains the story of the past, the present, and the future. In its outline of the closing scenes of this earth’s history, it bears a powerful testimony in behalf of the truth. I am more anxious to see a wide circulation for this book than for any others I have written; for in The Great Controversy, the last message of warning to the world is given more distinctly than in any of my other books"
(Colporteur Ministry, 127).
You will be thrilled to know that Remnant Publications has partnered with Project Restore to fully embrace the solemn counsel above. Hence we have committed to printing more than 10 million high-quality,
full-text
Great Controversy books, including the Appendix, to be distributed this year across the North American Division! These books are approximately one-half inch thick with a beautiful eye-catching cover. In addition, we have partnered with Amazing Facts so that each book will also include a FREE offer for Bible studies.
You have a wonderful opportunity to be a part of this great missionary project. It is your chance to make this great vision a reality by joining with Remnant Publications, our partner ministry Project Restore, and other ministries, along with thousands of Remnant friends.
Soon doors that are now opened for God’s work will be forever shut. Already, in some places it is not possible to mass mail The Great Controversy. Also, with unprecedented changes taking place in the political and religious climate, it is just a matter of time before we’re unable to do this work.
We are convinced that sharing these Great Controversy books with our friends and neighbors, in hospitals, churches, and libraries will give people the information they need—that the controversy between good and evil is about to come to an end, and that they have so much to hope for if they will only believe in and follow Jesus. That is the blessed hope.
Already Remnant Publications and Project Restore are moving ahead in faith towards their commitment of printing more than 10 million copies. Praise the Lord!
That means we need your prayers and support today to make it possible to take The Great Controversy to the world. We need you as an individual, along with your church, to partner with us and do something big and bold for God. So we are encouraging three things:
1) By faith, you as an individual can send zip code mailing to your community!
2) You can organize a team in your community to distribute thousands of the books door-to-door.
3) You can get your local church and conference involved by sending zip code mailings to your town or city, county, or state! Call us at 800-423-1319 to find out more about zip code mailings!
Books in large quantities will be available for as low as $0.61 each … and at bulk mail rates, the price for the book and mailing is cheaper than you think! Call us today, and we’ll be thrilled to help you do your part! Pray and give a gift to help share this beautiful book with the world.

Hundreds of Thousands of Philly Residents Were in for a ‘Prophetic’ Warning When They Opened Their Mailboxes This Month
From Glen Beck's THE BLAZE
< http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2015/08/27/hundreds-of-thousands-of-philly-residents-were-in-for-a-prophetic-warning-when-they-opened-their-mailboxes-this-month/ >
Aug. 27, 2015 12:56pm Billy Hallowell
Hundreds of thousands of Philadelphia residents were recently in for a surprise when they opened their mailboxes and found copies of a 157-year-old Christian book that provides theological analysis surrounding the biblical end times.
Remnant Publications, a Christian book company, paid to have 700,000 copies of ”The Great Controversy,” written by Seventh-Day Adventist Church founder Ellen G. White, sent to homes throughout Philadelphia free-of-charge and unsolicited this month, NJ.com reported.
The 378-page book, which includes White’s writings from as early as 1858, focuses, in part, on biblical sentiment as it pertains to current events and the end times. While the product was free for the homeowners who received it, the book distribution cost Remnant around $1 million.
“In a nutshell, the book is really about freedom of conscience. That’s really what the book is about,” Remnant CEO Dwight Hall told TheBlaze on Thursday. “It’s a history book, [aside from] the last part of the book, which is prophecy.”
Hall said that the first one-third of the book deals with the reformers, that the second deals with the founding of America and that the third tackles “how it’s going to end,” referencing the biblical end times.
A statement on the Remnant Publications website notes that the organization has partnered with another group called Project Restore in a joint commitment to print 10 million copies of the book this year to be handed out across North America.
“Soon doors that are now opened for God’s work will be forever shut. Already, in some places it is not possible to mass mail ‘The Great Controversy,’” a statement reads. “Also, with unprecedented changes taking place in the political and religious climate, it is just a matter of time before we’re unable to do this work.”
The text continues, “We are convinced that sharing these Great Controversy books with our friends and neighbors, in hospitals, churches, and libraries will give people the information they need — that the controversy between good and evil is about to come to an end, and that they have so much to hope for if they will only believe in and follow Jesus. That is the blessed hope.”
“The Great Controversy” arrived in Philadelphia mailboxes recently along with a flier that called the book a “gift” and asked for financial assistance helping spread it to other homes as well, according to NJ.com.
As for those who do not wish to receive “The Great Controversy,” Hall had a message: “If you don’t like it, you throw it in the trash.”
Similar distributions have unfolded in other cities like San Antonio, Texas, New York, New York, Charlotte, North Carolina and Washington, D.C., as well.
Over the years, Hall said that there have been a variety of reactions to the free book, including a few from atheists who have returned it after writing nasty messages with magic marker such as, “I don’t believe in God” and “God is stupid.”
But the CEO said that he even finds some of these messages encouraging. “They still have a conscience. Something’s bugging them,” he said, explaining that he would simply throw bulk mail out without thinking twice if he didn’t want it. “They spend five bucks to send the book back.”
The positive responses, Hall said, far outweigh the negative. Read more about the book here.

MASS MAILING OF G.C (full text) TO PHILIDEPHIA TO COINSIDE WITH POPE'S VISIT
From NJ.com @ http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2015/08/mass_mailing_of_religious_text_to_philly_zip_codes.html
Why Did Thousands Of Philly Residents Get Free Religious Book In The Mail?
PHILADELPHIA — Who doesn't like free stuff?
When that free thing is a 378-page book mailed out to hundreds of thousands of Philadelphia addresses preaching the "persecution of God's faithful children" and how the past shapes the purpose of life... well, that's indeed a "great controversy."
"The Great Controversy" dates back to the 1858 religious writings of Ellen G. White, who would go on to form the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. According to the version mailed out this week, the current book will help readers understand issues at stake, an "impending conflict" and why the reader "cannot remain neutral." Across 42 chapters, the reader learns about the geographic ties to historic religious events while citing Bible passages as both a warning and to offer guidance.
Remnant Publications, which paid to have the 700,000 copies mailed out to Philadelphia addresses this week and is affiliated with the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, describes the text as "an eye-opening journey through human history and beyond that plunges you headfirst into the ultimate battle between good and evil."
It's also for sale for as low as .61 cents and available on Glenn Beck's news website, The Blaze. Philadelphia residents who received the book this week also got a flier in the mail that touted the book a "gift" and asks for donations to "support further distributions to households like yours."
According to billypenn.com, Remnant CEO Dwight Hall said that Philadelphia-based fundraisers who helped to facilitate the mass mailing wanted it to coincide with Pope Francis' visit next month.
"When you've got such power and you're getting into politics, that scares a lot of people," Hall told the news website, adding that some Protestants would rather see the topics be kept separate.
[Happy to see that they have printed the full text & not an abridged version! God's blessing is in this!]

I believe that it is a trick of the devil to get us to think that now is not the right time to get the GC out in force. It is always the right time to do this. We hear nonsense like, "the book is too long and people do not like to read, it is archaic, it is to harsh, the DA must be read first, it is not the right approach to the post modern mind, etc.." Probably this is true in most points when referring to the wicked. In a certain sense this book is not FOR the wicked. It is for those who are a least to some extent open to the light of truth. Those who think we should wet a finger and hold it up to see which way the wind is blowing and how much it is blowing ( stick our neck out) before we put out the Great Controversy are not Seventh day Adventists they are hirelings. Lets do our duty and leave the results with the Lord !
I'm afraid that a lot of our conference people (and laity) think that when the time is right, the Lord will come down with a booming voice and tell us "now is the time." Then the book will be accepted far and wide and the papacy will say, " oh, now we get it." Then Jesus will come. That is comic book reality.
When the Three Angel's Messages are given with frankness and power there will ALWAYS be many who are upset. That is the nature of the beast !

The little town in which the Fellowship that I attend resides has a big 4th of July parade and celebration every year. This is a huge event that draws people from all over. The Fellowship has a booth at the park every year to hand out literature and talk to people. Last year they went through the crowd handing out this version of The Great Controversy. Then after the event they went through the streets and picked up any abandoned books so to not cause litter. For as many as were handed out not a lot were picked up as abandoned.

July 4th celebration is almost here. I think that the book being handed out to the parade crowd this year will be World Crisis Foretold. Chapter 1-5 is the most crucial points from Great Controversy. Chapter 6 basic points in the book Beyond Pitcairn. Chapter 7 is a condensation of Steps to Christ. Chapter 8 is a summary of basic health principles by EGW. Then there is a tent in the park with other literature to hand out and people to talk to.
