Excellent article by Gerry Waggoner!! Also some good comments.
I thought the poster who would vote to send Jackson along with Justin Beiber back to Canada was funny. I don't know anything about Justin Beiber, but a few months ago I saw an apparently homeless young man pan-handling on a corner with a cardboard sign that read. "NEED MONEY TO KILL JUSTIN BEIBER" I assume it was a joke.

Brother Waggoner said it as well as I've heard it said.  I question the need for our leaders to make public statements every time something of note occurs on the national or world stage.  It smacks too much of an opportunistic "me too" mindset, as if the country is even paying attention to what the president of a small, poorly understood denomination is saying.

His motives may have been good, but I agree with Waggoner's assessment of it.  He seemed to use the talking points we so often hear from the sound-bite media, and it did sound like the "social justice" rhetoric which is so common today.  What is it that keeps our country's leaders and the mainstream media from calling a spade a spade?   Islamic terrorism is alive and well.

I appreciate this Fulcrum article and site.  My internet isn't letting this area have full access so am not able to live-stream anything.  Anyway I ended up on Spectrum.   :uhoh:   That is really depressing or why do these people who do not believe in the SDA message want to be SDAs.  It doesn't make sense.   :?
I found this an interesting article and comments and intend to peruse that website more.  Having read Spectrum  the comments on Fulcrum make more sense.

Ah, you stumbled onto Spectrum.  They are the blind leading the blind.  Most posters attack our beliefs, even though most of them claim to be Adventists.  Some are former Adventists, and I'm puzzled as to why they hang out on a forum which claims to be SDA.  The majority of the articles belittle our beliefs.  There are a few good people there.  Kevin Paulson told me that he stays and defends truth because there are those who peruse the site, but who don't post, and he wants the truth to be proclaimed, so that those who are just passing by can see the contrast between truth and error.

Adventist Today is just as bad, but in some ways worse because they actually have the word "Adventist" in their name.  I got kicked off of that site because I said they were pseudo, or quasi Adventist.  Truth is not welcome in either place.  But, Ellen White predicted that heresies would come in and that some of our worst enemies would be inside the church.  And so it is.

With those two sites, Satan has every base covered with his confusions, lies, and deceptions. Do they not know, working for Satan will bring death when he's done with them?

We used to say that if you've seen one Adventist you have seen them all. Sadly those days are over at least here in North America.

How true! In meeting new people, or old friends we haven't seen in years, like at camp meeting, we can no longer assume that we are still theologically aligned with one another.

This is something that I am struggling to remember.  I have also found that someone I see quite often can have been indoctrinated by some spurious thinking in just a short time.  It is very disheartening.

Listen:
I've seen this too, and as you say, just a short time.

Satan is getting stronger and our people are being drawn away from truth.

We must follow no man but rather follow Jesus and the bible truth.  It is our only safety.

God help us all
