The boy smelled like a pig!

Some people like to say that Jesus accepts us just the way we are. That can be misleading. I know He loves me regardless, and I want Him to accept me--but not the way I am.

If He accepted me just the way I am, why did He die for me? He wants me to come to Him so that He can change me. Clean me up. The Prodigal Son’s father didn’t accept him the way he was. (The boy smelled like a pig!) Rather he ‘received’ him the way he was; then He gave him a bath and some new clothes.

Nothing defiled enters Heaven, so the prodigal's mind, character, body needed cleansing and infilling from above.

Grateful for Psalms 32 and Titus 2:10 While it is true that God gives the message from Scripture and SOP. The taste I give to others about the message sells it or kills it, I learn to walk it well & cook it well & eat it myself, before I preach it.  Then the SDA message appeals by His righteousness.
